Lee Freeman

Previously having qualified as a plumber, Gas Engineer and working for an Essex based maintenance company for several years, Lee Freeman founded Public Sewer Services in 1989. Starting as a single operative, with hard work, determination and an entrepreneurial vision he created a successful company delivering a one‐stop shop for in‐house innovative drainage solutions.

Over the years Lee has created a dedicated, hard working team of over 70 employees and has lead the company from a turnover of a few thousand to presently in excess of £6million.

His creative mind, passion and expertise has led him to seek innovation throughout the UK and Overseas looking for new technology and solutions. Lee specialises in “No Dig Technology” to reduce customer disruption, costs and the effects on the environment.

Having overall responsibility for the health and safety of his workforce and the environment, he has been instrumental in the continued improvement to the health, safety and environmental procedures within Public Sewer Services, helping to raise health, safety and environmental performance throughout the industry. To facilitate this he is in the process of restructuring and increasing Public Sewer Services health, safety and environmental resource to include a team of one senior health, safety and environmental manager and two location health and safety managers to support him, all qualified to NEBOSH standards.
